I made it tonight. I added mushrooms with the potatoes and carrots, and used frozen peas instead of green beans (because I had them in the freezer). I also added a little salt. Delicious! Perfect for a cold, snowy night! Will definitely make again!

Hey All, thanks for the nice comments – I did make it home and I am just trying to catch up.

Bob – for stew meat – I usually just buy whatever is on sale or I use left over meat from a roast. This particular beef was actually stew meat at the supermarket already cut into chunks.
