Creamy Feta Cheese Dill Dip

Happy Wednesday to you!   It feels like I am going full throttle all the time with the house, work and zesty and sometimes feeling like I do not have the proper time to create great meals.  I’ve been craving cream cheese as of late and I had just picked up a fresh bunch of dill from the farmers market so I thought I would make a fresh dip.  This dip recipe is great with some kashi crackers or some fresh bread.

The recipe is very simple but again refreshing with the dill.  It doesn’t get much easier than this – see below for the scoop on how to make this delicious dip for your next party.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) Package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 Cup sour cream
  • 1 Cup Crumbled Feta Cheese
  • 1/2 Tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill weed
  • 1/2 Tsp. minced garlic (optional)

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, feta cheese and sour cream with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. cream_cheese_prep

  3. Mix in  salt, dill and garlic.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. Enjoy!!

Zesty Tip: When working with cream cheese,  it is best to let out to become to room temperature as it will mix much easier and create that great consistency.  By choosing the cream cheese light version you will not see a degradation in flavor.

I hope you have a great hump day!  If you have any recipe ideas to feature here, I am open for suggestions.  Drop me a comment and tell me what you would love to see zesty make.

Take care

zesty

Looks awesome, as usual Zesty! Feta is always a huge hit, no matter what it’s in, at least with my family!

Wow, this sounds delicious! What is it about dill that combines so perfectly with creamy, dreamy cheese?

Oh man, that sounds amazing. I heart cc like none other and make a pretty wicked olive spread myself, but I will be checking this one out in the very near future. Keep up the good work!

Feta makes some great dips and with the cream cheese and sour cream this one would be nice and creamy and goo, Though I like the dill, right now I am thinking of roasted red peppers and maybe a roasted jalapeno for some heat.

This dip recipe is fantastic. It was very easy to make and makes a good portion. I made it for a get-together with co-workers and I could hear people asking the hostess who had made this wonderful dip! It made enough for my daughter who was entertaining that evening as well and she said that it was a big hit with her friends. I will definitely make it again!

I just made this tonight to preview it before my party this weekend. It is wonderful! I added a touch more minced garlic and less sour cream as I really like it even zestier! But it is wonderful! Good with pita chips, pretzels and my favorite, triscuits!
