It’s Monday!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Another busy weekend elapsed at mach speed and of course it involved a whole lot of zesty’ing and cooking. Early Saturday, I finalized a couple of logos/headers that I have been working on and I think they turned out pretty nice. I am thrilled to help other foodies update their looks or make changes to their blogs. Stop by and take a look at the latest ones completed. By all means, if you would like a new logo or an updated look, give me a shout through email and I am more than happy to help.

Saturday we hosted a games night with some family and had a great time. I decided to make a list of new appetizers, one of which I am going to share with you today. It is nothing fancy but oh so tasty! It has a little flavour of Mexican and was a very popular item with the guests.
Let me know what you think of this little taster.
Ingredients
- Sliced Beef (I used Striploin Steak – cooked Medium)
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar/Monterey/Colby Cheese
- 1 Cup Guacamole
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- Nacho Chips ( I chose White Corn)
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Line nachos on cookie sheet or pizza stone (make sure to not have the nachos overlap and touching you will dress these one at a time).
- Place strips of beef on top of the nacho chip.
- Top with cheese.
- Bake until cheese melts.
- Top with guacamole and sour cream.
- ENJOY!
Zesty Tip: When cooking anything using a pizza stone, I like to pre-heat the oven with the stone inside. This is especially great for making nachos and pizza as it allows to start the cooking process immediately and directly from under the food.
So let’s just say I made a couple of pans of these and they disappeared in seconds. I love that feeling! I love food and everything about it. Tell me this, what do you like on top of your nachos? Normally I add Jalapeno peppers and diced tomatoes on top but I had a few nay sayers to those so just left them off. I am dying to hear what everyone likes on their nachos.
Thanks everyone. Have a great Monday and we will see you tomorrow with a guest post from Tina over at Carrots and Cake.

Love the nachos! Great tip about the pizza stone. All the logos are amazing and I am so lucky to have a Zesty created logo!
You’re so great helping to other bloggers to improve their blogs, Meg’s new look is amazing!
Good idea for nachos!
Nicely done
GUACAMOLE!!! Holy yum.
i love jenn (eating bender) ‘s new blog look, you are so talented!! and i love this idea for nachos, putting a bit of topping on each one. i’ve never seen it done before and yet it makes total sense!
Thanks everyone!
Veggiegirl – I love Avacado too!
Mi – thanks – Yeah for these nachos I like to do them individually so each one gets the same amount of lovin’

I love nachos!! I’m loving the sliced beef ingredient too! I love Megan’s new layout, I had no idea you helped out with blog layouts. I may need help because I’m in the middle of changing my layouts but I am having a couple of problems with some HTML. I’m not using word press either.
Which one do you prefer? Wordpress or Blogger?
Hurray for Zesty and his fabulous site design skills
And GREAT nachos! I like how each one is adorned with all of the ingredients, so you’re never missing out.
these nachos are right up my alley. yum.
Hi Cory!
Nachos, nachos yeahh…they’re extremely delicious! Perfect ingredients for a perfect appetizer!
You’ll have a very good karma updating the logos and layouts of other foodies
Happy Week!!
Great job on the design work!
And those nachos look amazing. Yum. Perfect thing to nibble on at a game night. I love that you made them individually. I love nachos, but hate the stereotypical giant pile of nachos covered in toppings. (So hard to eat without getting messy.)

Yay for new banners!! Thanks again for you help!
The nachos look amazing by the way… yum!
Nice job on the blogs – and these nachos don’t look too bad either! Love the individual-ness of the nachos.
Love the recipe and your dialogue. Makes reader feel the friendliness you so readily display.
I love to put some spicy bean dip on my nachos, underneath the cheese! Its so good and zesty! Then I top it with sour cream and Jalapeños.
The Other Jessie – I only have experience with wordpress but I would be more than willing to help you.
Thanks Jenn, Lauren, Gera, Jessie, Meghann, Juliet, Veronica.
Mushroomz – that recipe sounds delicious!
I’m loving all of your designs
What a great idea to make individual nachos – I always just stuck a bunch of chips on a platter and spread salsa, veggies, fake meat, and cheese on top – this is so much cooler.
YUMMMMMY – anything wtih guac – and I’m in!
You just can’t get much better than this. YUM! I love nachos and yours look fantastic.
Wow, what a wonderful idea (helping other blogs improve their look). And such delicious nachos!
In general, if I’m just making some quick nachos at home, I’ll put on cheese and green onion, then top it with sour cream and salsa once it’s melty and good. If I have the time, or more ingredients around, I would put on guacamole for sure, and possibly jalapenos.
Love the idea of steak on them though!
Thanks Maggie, AlliJag, ChadNPam, HuggingtheCoast.
Marianne – I fully agree – most times i have low key nachos when lacking toppings but guacamole and beef… what a wonderful combo.

Uhm, drool. Good stuff man.
I’ve LOVED all of the new headers, I may take you up on that generous offer soon
Also, great recipes lately, they all look delish! Hope you’re having a great Monday!
Like these nachos as you have made them look clean and plated them well. Nearly all recipes I have seen for Nachos are big messy piles all lumped on to a plate! Good work!
Great individual nachos. Got a nacho recipe of my own to post soon too, although mine are more of a mess.
That looks great! love that it’s all done on individual chips. Yum!
hey zesty! i wish i would have known about your talent about a week ago when i spent forever trying to make a header!!! i’ve seen meghann and jenn’s and they look incredible. do you know how to make tabs with blogger?? i haven’t found out how to do it without making separate blogs and linking them to my origincal page…
those little nachos look incredible! great party appetizer
enjoy your night!
These look so good! I am a nacho kind of girl! Great post!
I LURVEEEE guacamole, and now that summer’s here and avocados are in abundance we have it every week. I spike mine with these homegrown chillis called ‘dynamos’. We then polish it off using the nachos as spoons.
the new headers look awesome! love it, may need to work on that…
and those nachos, yumm
These are so simple but you make them look amazing!!!
I do love nachos… it’s amazing how the combination of things so simple can be so lip-smacking! I love the look of these as single topped chips – to be served as appetizers. I’m always looking for new ways to present food, or take the ordinary and make extraordinary. Thanks for this recipe and idea!
Love the idea of the individual nachos, used to make something similar long ago. Making these as part of our election night yummies. Thanks so much, love your recipes and follow you on twitter! You and your recipes inspire me when I am at a loss for what to cook.
Lately, I’ve been making my nachos with ground beef, lots of cheese, diced fresh tomatoes, diced fresh avocado, and jalapeno peppers. Found myself in a pinch the last time I made them (i.e. I didn’t have jalapeno peppers), so I just put a liberal dose of Sriracha on top of everything. Wow!
