Useful and fun-to-know information, although I&#039;m way too thrifty to throw out old spices and herbs.  If I think they are using their flavor (the taste test), I just add more.</description>

		<description>@OhSheglows - You should store your fresh herbs in the fridge for sure.... you can store your spices in a cool dark cupboard.  As to know when they expire - it is a general rule of thumb that dried herbs and spices lose a lot of their pungency after 4-6 months.  It is better off to buy in small quantities and use often.</description>
