I thought the title may intrigue you or make you think I was crazy. Hopefully you chose the first option. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved black licorice. Every now and again I buy these black licorice cigars with a little crystallized sugar top.

These candy cigars are soft, chewy and simply amazing. Best of all – Mama zesty bought me a whole case of these babies. As I walked up to the kitchen counter and noticed these out of the corner of my eye…. a large zesty smile appeared. I had to crack into these right after dinner and of course share them with you.

Now don’t get me wrong – I am not affiliated with Hershey but I would love to receive some extra samples… hint hint.
Question of the Day
Have you ever had a licorice Cigar? If so tell me what you think?

Great post – I love liquorice too!
PS: that contest is only open to residents of the US
Oh No! I never even noticed that… Well hopefully there are a lot of US readers.
Candy Cigars. Never seen them before, but how fun!
always so much fun to get receive something fun right?
Oh gross, I HATE black licorice!! So sorry, I don’t like telling people I hate foods that they love, but I can’t help myself. Whenever anyone asks me to name one food I don’t like, it’s black licorice! It reminds me of Yeager, which is the most disgusting alcohol I have ever smelled or tasted, yuck!
But, for your sake, I hope you get those free samples!
I’ve never seen licorice cigars. Besides I hate licorice. Have you ever had Ouzo. I tried it once – never again. I do like bubble gum cigars though.
i wish i lived in canada! are they easy to find there? I live across the border.
I LOVE black licorice!!!
oh the licorice candy cigars look so cool!
I love licorice! I’ve never had a licorice cigar, but my dad keeps his eyes open for licorice pipes – yum!
how much flack has this gotten about encouraging children to smoke :p i want to try them! it would sure save me on the lung cancer route :p nohting like sitting back with a coffee and licorice cigarette
Mmmmmm those cigars (pipes as well) are one of my passions and downfalls. When I do buy them, they are very closely guarded LOL
I cannot leave a store without them if I see them. I LOVE these!
Yummy! Now I want one…
I grew up on Licorice cigars! They were my mother’s favourite candy! I always bought them for her and always think of her when I have one!
Not a fan at all of black licorice, but if you wanna talk dark chocolate then you’ve got me, lol!
Now as a kid I remember the bubble gum cigarettes that even had a light dusting of confectioners sugar so when you blew out it would look like you were really smoking. I remember one day walking through Macy’s with my sister and a friend of ours and we were puffing on our bubble gum cigarettes and a lady working in the store told us we were not allowed to smoke in the store, lol! When she discovered they were just bubble gum she laughed. Aaaah, good times, goood times.
Bubble gum cigarettes? Talk about a bad thing to have for kids…a way to promote smoking. (I am not a smoker.)
I’m sorry, for such a long post, but your licorice cigars brought me back.
I am NOT a black licorice fan, however I do have a tip for you if you really love black licorice.
I’m Finn, and my dad is a Finlander from the old country. Finns LOVE their black licorice, and the most intense black licorice I’ve every had is Salmiakki. If you have any Scandinavian shops where you are – they’re bound to have a multitude of options for you.
While I’m not a smoker or even pretend to smoke, these sound de-lish! I love black licorice. You had me at soft and chewy! I’ve never even seen or hear of these.
Black licorice was one of my favorite candies when I was young. Those cigars are such a fun way to eat it!
What an idea! I’m going to use this, from now on. Returning the favor, I use a cigar humidor. I think you would find them a ton of help. You can use them to hold your cigars in prestine condition. Thanks again for the awesome read!
Thanks for this awesome post.
