Christmas is just around the corner and that means…. chocolate everywhere you go! Or at least I find that around here. You go to a house to visit and they have chocolate treats everywhere. Whether it be a box of chocolates, homemade chocolate cookies or squares, maybe little chocolate candies they are EVERYWHERE.
We went down the road to our favorite Christmas tree farm last week to pick out our tree this year…. I run in the house to pay for the tree and the owner’s wife calls the whole family in for a treat. Out come the box of chocolates at 9:15am. Of course I had one! Well actually two but come on… it is December!
For me, I am a huge fan of dark chocolate…. that can serve as a hint for all you crazed fans out there wanting to send me a treat. Dark chocolate it is. Oh wait,WOW, I just felt like Justin Bieber for a second without the hair. Sorry for that! No treats needed…. I guess.
What kind of chocolate do you like baking with? Semi sweet, milk, dark? I love it all but the variations are so different and produce much different results.

Well, I love chocolate in so many forms…however, during the holidays my husband and I always make truffles. We like experimenting with a new flavour each year. So, during Christmas, this is always my favourite treat!

I know this is simple, but a Reese’s cup is my favorite! Probably the Christmas tree or Easter eggs or pumpkin ones. They have the best ratio of chocolate to peanut butter

I’m partial to the dark chocolate myself but I wont turn down any chocolate!!!
I think one of my favorite ways to have chocolate is with brownies. Then a close second would be my Ian Garten chocolate cake recipe. I just love it. And anytime I make it…family/guests love it.
MILK CHOCOLATE. I eat dark chocolate almost every day, but if I’m baking something, I need milk chocolate. And semi-sweet. Hell, all of it!
Well – I have not entered but this was just too impossible to resist !! Have you ever been to my house without getting chocolate ?? mmmmmm I LOVE Turtles ! Toblerone !! Any Milk Chocolate — Chocolate on my dessert pizza !! Chocolate cheesecake muffins , Cake , Brownies …. Chocolate sauce ( Home made of course !! ), Chocolate chchocolate chip cookies… & as you know the best way to start or end the day is with chocolate.. !!

I like using semi sweet chocolate when I’m baking, especially in chocolate chip cookies. I once used milk chocolate chips and thought it became too creamy and tasted too similar to a chocolate bar. As fas as chocolate treats go, anything would do just fine!
i know some people will be freaked out by this, but i really enjoy the unsweetened baking squares…give me some pure chocolate!
i also like the high percentage dark chocolates (90, 99%).

Oh, that moist dark chocolate mayonnaise cake with creamy chocolate frosting. A heap of delightful eating! I’ve also been partial to a Cadbury’s Wunderbar at times, too, but not too often!

I love dark chocolate – just about any kind. But my all-time favorite chocolate treat is Lindt truffles.
My favorite chocolate is Fazers. It’s a Finnish chocolate. They have many flavors but I like the tradition and the geisha.

Chocolate is one of my favorite treats. When it comes down to the nitty gritties it has to be a high quality dark chocolate. It will be very rich and have an ability to melt slowly in my mouth.

One Christmas season a few years ago, Godiva had truffles with pop rocks in them that were to die for. I miss them!
I love, love, LOVE the chocolates from Island Chocolate in Victoria-by-the-Sea. Their coffee kahula truffle is to die for and I don’t even like coffee!
I cannot turn down a good looking brownie, especially one with a cream cheese swirl. Best one I ever had was from a little lunch cafe in Atlanta, Georgia.
I LOVE a milk chocolate Hersheys’s candy bar.

OMG–Are you kidding!? Raw chocolate is the best!! Melt raw cacao BUTTER (alt. raw coconut BUTTER, but it’s not as firm. Or do a combo) in a bowl that’s in a bowl of warm water. Stir in your raw cacao powder, your sweetner (I like to use a little REAL maple syrup here, for better flavor, plus your raw honey or agave) add any extras, like a scraped vanilla bean, or nuts or dried fruit, pour into molds or a dish (break it up later). Google these items if you want to try this stuff. I think http://www.sunfood is a good place to start. CACAO CACAO CACAO CACAO CACAO!!!!!!!!
I love dark chocolate, but my husband prefers white chocolate, so everything I make, I need to make two batches of so we can both be happy.

I love salty sweet snacks, so any chocolate that has sea salt sprinkled on it is pretty great in my book. I guess if I were to pick a favorite I would have to choose the rocky road that my grandma makes. A holiday classic!

If it’s just plain chocolate, dark is the way to go. There’s usually a bag of Dove Dark Chocolate Promises in my freezer.
I love all chocolate! Our local artisan chocolate shop has a pumpkin truffle that is not to be believed. But for everyday chocolate consumption – give me a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

Chocolate — Ah what can I say about Chocolate except that it is DEVINE!! I love ALL chocolate. Doesn’t matter milk, dark, semi, sugar-free (for my diabetes) cocoa, cacao — chocolate is just beyond words. Could be cheap chocolate, super expensive chocolate, imported chocolate, extravagent chocolate desserts or just plain ole chocolate milk — doesn’t matter to me – I just love it. Unfortunately, IT doesn’t love me – boo hoo!!! but I do indulge anyway – in small ways. Hide it in closets, drawers, I am not addicted to it but like to have it around in case I need a little piece of heaven. And I must tell you that the photo at the top of this post of the chocolates in (and out of) the box and soooo beautiful, I could eat them right off the page…lol! I do hope that answers the question about my favorite chocolate.

ANYTHING chocolate works for me…hahaha… I do love Milk Chocolates and I recently made a fudge with cacao and was very impressed with how decadent it was.
