Yes it’s true…. another year has passed and it was my birthday again. Unbelievable I know but what can you do? What better way to celebrate your birthday then a phone call from your mom inviting our family over for a birthday dinner and the feature being a Roasted Turkey with all the fixings. Regardless of the time of year this kid loves his turkey. Potatoes, Carrots, Turnip, Dressing, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce…. you name it – we had it.
The meal was absolutely delicious – and of course I had to take a picture of the main feature. So tender and juicy, the turkey was quite delicious. All the trimmings just add to the level of excitment for me. Homemade beets, mustard pickles fresh garden tomatoes and ripe cucumbers top the list of super side dishes.
I got to say – a wonderful meal to close off a great day. Thanks again Mom! Love ya.
