Tell Zesty Your Favorite TV Snacks & A Dinner Party Exclusive!

Well Surprise Surprise and Happy Friday!  I was thinking Wednesday night as I watched Team Canada wipe out Russia in Men’s hockey and now last night the Woman’s hockey Team capturing Gold that a fun post would be to chatter about TV snacks – specifically Olympic TV snacks.

For me TV snacks are what I think about the whole day.  Lately I have been devouring chips into as if I had just heard a break news story on CNN that come the end of February all potato chips will be ceased and no longer allowed to be sold.  Enough of me and the chips…. Here are some other tasty snacks I really enjoy while sitting in front of the Olympics.

  1. Cashews - I love the crunch and I find these way to addictive.  I can quickly find myself at the bottom of the bag or tin before I even realize.  These are dangerous!
  2. cashews

  3. Licorice Babies – Anything black licorice I am all over like a plump kid on a rolo bar.  I cannot get enough of these.  And lately Ganong has not been letting me down.  The bags are super fresh and almost melt in your mouth like.  I also love the black Ju Jubes as well.
  4. Chicken Wings ( I know not technically a snack but it is for me ) – One of my all time fav foods.  Chicken wings RULE!  Love Love Love them.
  5. Ice Cream Sandwiches – Me and ice cream are not super close friends but sometimes we have little sessions where we feel inseparable.  I definitely go through phases with Ice cream.  Lately I just love these Ice cream sandwiches
  6. Chocolate - Enough said!

the dinner party recipes sound awesome – does this mean all of you will actually come make all that food for me? :)

My favorite TV snacks:
popcorn with olive oil + sea salt
hummus + veggies/chips/crackers
any kind of chocolate :)

Happy Friday Zesty!

When it comes to snacking in front of the TV I am a pretzel girl….soft pretzels especially, but since those aren’t readily available it is usually a bag of Rold Golds.

I’m with you, give me the potato chips! Actually I love those Munchos bags of chips the most they are extra salty and crisp. That bit about the cnn & chips was hilarious!

chicken wings are awesomeeeeee. I love them dipped in blue cheese! My favorite TV snacks are almonds, rice cakes with peanut butter, popcorn, and maybe a hot chocolate.

Oh you are singing my song with chips- tortilla though- not potato- with salsa. I like to pretend they’re healthy for me.. and the wine that I have with them is really just antioxidants- basically stopping cancer before it starts! hah

The dinner party thing is really cool!!!
I loooove ice cream sandwiches but I haven’t had one in forever. Unfortunate that.
My favorite tv snacks when i’m feeling not so healthy would be cheetos (so sue me), pretzels, ice cream.. but more often than not it would be yogurt, frozen yogurt, a smoothie, grapes, a microwaved cinnamon apple, cereal,.. I could go on but I’ll stop so that I don’t bore you hehe :D

Great post Z ~ LOVE your humor in this one :D

For my favorite TV snacks, ummm, I could totally have all of the above minus thos funky licorice bites (unless you had the red ones).

I LOVE to snack on….

Chips, nuts, candy, ice cream….ok, but, what I really DO snack on is:

Crackers, veggies and hummus sometimes with low-fat cheeses

Homemade Healthy Kettle Korn ~ it rocks!

Hot tea or cocoa

Ice cream

Congrats on a successful dinner party ~ LOVE it and I will totally be there when you all whip it up LOL. Ok, maybe not, but, I still LOVE the idea

Have a great weekend!

I have a sweet tooth, so I love cookies in front of the TV. Ice cream and chips work too. Kettle Korn is awesome when I can get it. And sometimes little chocolate squares – ideally with some nuts inside!

I am pretty much addicted to tortilla chips topped with really hot habanero sauce. Yum!

Dinner party idea is so cool!
