Hi All,
I was going to share with you a new soup recipe that I have been toying around with and may pull out for a dinner party this weekend, but then I thought about it for a few minutes and said….. hmmm maybe I should ask you what your favorite soup is to eat and I may be inspired to try something even newer.
So here it is:
Tell Zesty your favorite soup
I am heading to Philadelphia next week for work but I will be posting from Philly and will be sure to share some dinner ideas. Have a great weekend!
Take care
zesty

Can I have two favorites?
Potato Leek topped with bacon and scallions
Curried Potato and Apple
One of my new favorites as of last year is a roasted pear-butternut squash. It’s delicious, mild and great for you.
Mine would be either Lentil slow cooked with a ham bone OR Tortilla soup.
Chicken tortilla soup
White Chicken Chilli (does that count) or Tomato/Fennel/Dill soup.
hmmm..hands down Caldo Verde; Portuguese Soup which is based on a chicken broth and using Collards.. it’s one of those tedious soups but well worth it in the end
My favorite soup is my mother’s potato soup. She passed away on Dec.31,2003 and even though I know how it is made, mine never turns out like hers did
My 2nd favorite is Chicken Tortilla Soup.
my favorite fall soup is split pea – love it
Can I share my favorite 2 soups?
One is simple potatoes soup with chicken combined with onions and tomatoes. As we live in Thailand, we add some spicy and sour touch by chilli and lime juice. Mom made me this soup since I was young and I love it!
Second is a local dish called “Gang Liang”. It is a soup that based on shrimp paste with full of vegetables like pumpkins, Ivy gourd, hoary basil and gourd. It tastes a bit spicy by pepper and it feel great when eating with Jasmin rice and Thai style omelette.
Definitely beef stew. Also just tried corn chowder, and really liked that! Another good one is roasted red pepper and tomato soup. Oh, and can’t forget about black bean soup!
Potato, ham and corn chowder.
Potato, spinach and little meatball soup.
Baked potato soup w/ cheddar, bacon and chives…do we see a pattern here??? lol
Actually I think I could eat soup every day….after posting my 3 favs above and reading some of the other entries, I thought of navy bean soup, black bean soup and my new fall favorite pumpkin soup.
A good cabbage patch soup w/ lots of veggies, beef barley, New England and Manhattan chowder…
Well you get the point, it’s fall and soup is the all time comfort food.
Can’t wait to see your fav soups!
My favourite soup has to be my Grandpa’s Doukhobor Borscht, which you can find here: http://frenchfriestoflaxseeds.com/2011/05/03/grandpas-doukhobor-borscht-revisted/
But my runner’s up would be this smoked oyster and chicken gumbo, and Manhattan clam chowder. Yum!
Tuscan Tomato and a good Chicken Mulligatawny.
Tomato is one of my favorite, and broccoli cheddar.
Our fav was apple bacon and tomato. Sounds strang but it was really good.
