Happy Friday! I am glad this day is here! What a zoo in the life of zesty this week. But I would rather be busy than bored. I have an action packed post ahead…. well not really but I did get you excited I bet.
Zesty Does Design
If you can believe it, Zesty design work after the blog makeover contest has been incredibly busy with people interested in making some updates to their existing blogs or starting a new one. I want to take a few minutes of your time and have a simple survey to see if people would be interested in a blog manual written to describe a series of common questions and hurdles when setting up your own blog, self hosted vs non self hosted, migrating your blog from a different platform, security issues etc.
[poll id="5"]
Let me know your thoughts and by all means tell all your friends about the survey. The manual will have a small fee with a portion given to a selected charity.
Back to the food. Remember I told you that zesty will be bouncing around from kitchen to kitchen cooking up a storm – well this has been holding true. Last night I was invited to my Mom’s for dinner which is always exciting. We had a gorgeous roast pork with some garlic mashed potatoes – gotta love that.
I always have my camera with me so I was able to take some shots of last night’s dinner.
On the Plate
- Oven Roasted Pork Tenderloin with an Onion Chutney
- Garlic mashed potatoes
- Steamed carrots
- In the Roaster Potatoes ( love these guys! )
- Pan Gravy with the pork drippings ( all low fat so no worries! )

House Update
Everything is packed up in storage and we are living the life of bins and totes but loving it. The land preparation is coming along quite well. We just have received the test results regarding the soil, survey of the land is scheduled for this week ( hopefully today) and then we need to move on to the building permit, deed and temporary electric hook up.
In Closing
Have yourself a great Friday and I really appreciate you taking a second to enter a comment or take the survey. I would really like to make a difference in the food blogging world and if I can do it by helping people get their blogs off the ground – I will work hard to do that.
Take care
zesty

what a great idea for a blog manual and what a yummy looking dinner!
great idea for a blog manual! i started my blog not too long ago, and i could certainly use a great resource like that. i’d love to build my readership and have a better design
The blog manaual sounds like a great idea, but I’m a little hesistant that it might be too much detail that you would need to cover since there are so many different variables? I’m def interested just wonder if I could really do it myself…
Zesty- this bloggers manual is a BRILLIANT idea! I would definitely buy a copy (or maybe a few).
Your dinner looks nice and comforting too!
Take care!
That is an AWESOME idea! Seriously, genius.
the blog manual sounds great! I’m glad things are going well the house prep!
1. Wonderful idea for a manual..and you’ve already made a difference in my blogging world. You’re super, Cory.
2. Food looks great.
3. Good luck with the on going house adventure.
4. Have a great weekend, blogger friend.
The blog manual is a great idea. I was wanting to break into the blogging arena, but didn’t know where to start.
I think a manual would be fantastic!!
I voted but I am sure you already know my answer
Fantastic looking dinner – yum!
Have a good weekend – good luck with all the house stuff.
I’m new to your website and e-mails, so I may be lacking. All I really want to know is where’s the recipe for the mouth watering meal you have captured here?
ugh! figures this would come out after my ridic last 48 hours!
i recently switched to wordpress, from blogger, but i had my own domain the whole time. im not sure what happened, but after the switch, google reader wouldnt update my new posts until it was changed to http://www.hungryhungryhippie.com/feed (the only change was the addition to the /feed ending)…any ideas why that happened? i lost all my readers because of the subscription change!!
I think a blog manual would be interesting/helpful, depending on what it covered – if it’s too basic, I doubt I would use it.
I may be drooling over that dinner though. It’s like the classic Sunday dinner. I miss those.
The blogger manual is a great idea but I wonder if it would be too technical for those like me who have never even blogged before. I’d be interested in giving it a try.
Your Mom looks like a great cook too! I love your dinner – definitely comfort food! Maybe she could do a guest post1
You’re fab, your site is fab and the idea is fab
I definitely think the blogger manual is a fabulous idea!
Yum! Dinner looks delicious!
Oh man, that pork looks great! It looks so tender and juicy, perfection!
I just started a blog and would love to have some help spicing it up – a manual would be a great idea!!!
How soon will you update your blog? I’m interested in reading some more information on this issue.
A blog manual would be super helpful! Just found your blog and love it.
