Well hello there! Feels like I have been gone forever – but I am back in the saddle today and ready to do a fun Disney recap. Before I get started though I just want to say that DISNEY was a blast! We had a super time and would definitely do it again. The place is huge and very overwhelming but nothing but great memories.
Star Island Resort
WOW – I cannot say enough thank you’s to Danica and Jay from Danicasdaily.com for hooking us up with the timeshare at Star Island. From the hospitality, to the cleanliness, the amazing room and the pools – this place was truly a 5 Star resort. Lots of activities to do, amazing location and did I mention we had 2 kitchens!!!
Below are some shots I snapped of the resort throughout the week.
Out and About Day 1
We made tracks early Sunday morning to tour around the pathways and see what we could find. Playgrounds, random wildlife and gorgeous views were just a few worthy of a point and shoot.
Downtown Disney
Well when I mentioned to Zesty Junior that there was a huge LEGO store at Downtown Disney – we had to go there on the very first day! It was super hot, and super fun. We cruised around with stroller rentals for 3-4 hours and everyone loved it.
Magic Kingdom
Holy S&%t – this place is insane! So much to do, slightly overwhelming, super crowded but a tonne of fun! We walked around for 9 hours ( thank god for cart rentals ) and we did not even feel we put a dent in this place. We went on the rides, took in a parade, did the train tour and had an absolute blast. I felt like a kid with hair again.

Dinner with Goofy and Pluto
We heard lots of good things about character breakfasts before we took off so I had to try and hook us up. However, I left it to the last minute and everything was booked. Uh oh, but don’t panic…. I called up Disney and scored a character dinner for Tuesday night with none other than Goofy and Pluto. Pretty funny because the kids’ two favorite characters are goofy and Pluto – so it worked out well.
I was somewhat mesmerized at all the things going on that I forgot to take pics of the buffet… except for the desserts. Look at the desserts!! I tried a few of them… ok ok 5 of them.
Clearwater Beach
On the last day before we departed the kids wanted to hit the sandy beach FLO-RIDA style. So we decided to take a drive out to Clearwater beach. An excellent decision. This place was so nice! We hung out on the beach all day and played in the water and sand.
The weather was gorgeous all week – I hated to go home!
I hope you enjoyed the recap. I will be back Wednesday with a fun Dempsters giveaway. Stay tuned.
Take care
zesty

Where are the KIDS in the photos!?

Welcome back Zesty! If your son loves the Lego store, he will be in heaven when Lego Land opens in OCT. The theme park is going up in the Former Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven FL. So bring your family back to Central FL and see the difference of a small town in FL.
Glad you and the Zesty family had a great time! I remember taking my son to Lego-Land 10 years ago and he l loved putting legos on the vertical boards. We could barely pry him away! I can’t wait to get away – this weekend we go for a long weekend to Venice north of Ft. Myers. Your picture of the surf just made we long for it more!
How FUN! Awesome photos…glad you and the fam had such an amazing trip.
Beyond jealous. Glad you had such a great time!! Though, going some place with two kitchens is more than enough to get me excited
Oh wow! I love all your pictures. It brings back all the memories of my trip to Disneyworld in September! I want to go back!! Did you go to the other parks as well? Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios?
@Carolynne
No we just went to Magic Kingdom – we will go back. Kiddos were a little to young for Epcot and Universal. Will def go back for Animal kingdom though.
Great pictures of the resort and your trip ~ thanks for sharing them Z! I agree with Kath ~ next time you need to show us pictures of all of you.
We are so glad you all had a good time….next time we want to go too – so fun! LOL
