Zesty's Christmas Present

by zesty on December 26, 2008 · 14 comments

Happy Boxing Day!  I had an excellent day yesterday.  What a great Christmas.  It started off with a peek to see what Santa left, followed by a quick pancake breakfast.  After breakfast we opened more presents, cleaned up and went off to a family lunch.

Oh wow, what a meal!!  Turkey and all the trimmings, followed by more gift opening and then dessert -  steamed plum pudding with vanilla ice cream and that oh so delicious sauce.

That brought us to about 3:30 which meant it was time to travel to my Mom and Dad’s for another turkey dinner with all the trimmings.  I know back-to-back turkey dinners is tough but I managed.

But what i really wanted to share with you…..

Zesty’s New Cuisinart Food Processor

I am so excited!  When I opened the box – I let out a big gasp followed by a big  “YES”.  I cannot wait to whip up some dips and pesto among other things to share with you.  First up may be some fresh Pesto!

Have a great boxing day and have a great weekend.

Take care

zesty

Nice – I couldn’t survive without my food processor. I know you’ll get lots of use out of your gift. Can’t wait for some creative pesto recipes :)

I’m so glad you had such a nice Christmas! Your food processor looks awesome. Can’t wait to see what you whip up in it.

I got a Lodge cast iron camp Dutch oven so I can cook in my fireplace! Can’t wait to play with it.

Glad you got good toys! :) I wish I had gotten a turkey dinner, but I suppose you had enough for both of us. Heh.

Yeah! You will love it!

I have a KitchenAid food processor, but once you get a good one, you will be amazed at the things you can do with it!

Cheers!

I have an older version of that food processor and it’s wonderful! There is nothing it can’t do!

I know how you feel – year before last I got a 5-cup Cuisinart for Christmas and I was very happy. Unfortunately, the lid doesn’t fit perfectly anymore and I really wish it came with a plastic blade, but it’s a great starter and it’s been invaluable for chopping nuts, making smoothies, and doing things like mushroom caviar. One of these days I’ll upgrade to your model!
